Cyanotype * is a photographic printing process very accessible to everybody because you don’t need a darkroom to produce it. I found the process very attractive for its connection with Nature and for the un-limited possibilities on experimentation. I normally place elements on the top of the print and play with home-made filters and spices to get different tonalities and textures.
In my artwork I try to bring something characteristic from my homeland. It can be such as food spices to give some colour or scent to the print, or just the botanical elements used to create the image.
I see my cyanotypes prints as fragments of a whole picture. I select and combine them to create imaginative landscapes and learn more about what it is hiding in my head. I am in the first steps of working in a project where a group of children will have the opportunity to produce an original print under the sun and it will come all together under the form of a mural.
